Spring Forward

It’s almost time to shift into a new season. The mark of the new season is when daylight savings time occurs and we are expected to “spring forward”. We lose an hour of a sleep but we gain another hour of sunlight. But sleep isn’t the only thing we lose. We also get to shed the layers of the winter making room for soft pastel colors that reflect the spring.

What I am most thankful for is the change in people’s mood. With the harsh winter New York has had, sunlight and warmer weather is the best medicine. People just seem more pleasant, more inclined to want to hang out and enjoy the day. Happy hours are more happy, wine tours are scheduled rooftop parties will be the thing to do and weekend brunches are more delightful ending in unlimited bellinis and mimosas.

What I plan on working on is my networking. As a newbie to the blogging scene, it is important I surround myself with those enjoy the same interests as me. It is important to broaden your social networking. It is vital for me to spend less time on social media and more time interacting with live people. If I have the time to like someone’s status, comment on posts and retweet a fell tweeter I can make time to be more socially active.

Maybe changing my environment will yield some LOVE my way. I’m open, ready, willing and waiting to spring ahead! I am looking forward to the shift in season. May it bring forth new energy, new light, new connections and LOVE. ❤️

Nice post. I tend to be the opposite as I like winter more than spring. But this is a great piece. I am on the side of doing away with Day Light Savings as it was created in a time when we worked by the light of day. As we have electricity now there is no longer a need for it. Here are some countries that do and do not use Day light savings. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time_by_country

With people who are social, I can see that, and I do think it is the season. It may be as your post proudly displays the flowers. I find that there is something good about fragrance that puts us at ease.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
